MooTools Image Slider – a good looking way to display the thumbnail images of your gallery. Display any number of thumbnails in a photo gallery or as a banner rotator.

All CSS styling is external. It can slide either by mouse wheel scroll or by clicking the arrows on the left and/or right.

s3Slider jQuery Plugin – inspired by JonDesign’s Smooth SlideShow Library.

To use it, include the jQuery library, s3Slider javascript and CSS file. Info layer about the images in the slideshow can be displayed at left, right, bottom or top. You can also set duration between slides when initializing s3Slider.

jQuery.popeye – An Inline Image Gallery

jQuery.popeye – jQuery plugin that transforms an unoredered list of images into a image gallery displaying only one image preview at a time. The box has controls, previous/next, enlarge and info about the current image.

The box expands to accomodate the enlarged version, while the controls are hidden in full image size mode. A simple click on the image returns the box to its compact state.

Zoomy.js – Simple Image Magnification with Customizable Options

Zoomy.js – a Prototype class that allows you to easily create Image Gallery. The script make simple magnification of images with customizable options, as popup and overlaying boxes.

Images are preloaded, there is no delay when you zoom. You can display caption and close button (optional) and open new window from a link to the caption, zoomed images may be dragged.

Zoomy.js package contains a patched version of Prototype 1.6 library (to correct bugs on Opera 9.5) + Scriptaculous (effect, dragdrop).

All you need is to add the required HTML markup and customize CSS stylesheet. The miniature is made from the original image used as background and then initialize Zoomy.
